Dayton Bombers News Release

The Dayton Bombers will take a two-game winning streak into a trio of home games this weekend at the Ervin J. Nutter Center as their season-long, seven-game home stand continues. The Bombers will welcome Indy Racing League (IRL) driving sensation Sarah Fisher (pictured) on Friday vs. Trenton, commemorate the deeds of area firefighters and police officers as part of Guns and Hoses Night on Saturday (also vs. Trenton), then give away 3000 Team Posters on Sunday at another head-to-head clash with archrival Toledo. Below is a preview of the three Bombers' home games slated for this weekend:

Friday, March 12, 2004 vs. Trenton Titans (7:00 p.m.)- Indy Racing League phenom Sarah Fisher has served as a great inspiration for women of all ages to reach for their goals and dreams. Behind a 36-save performance by goalie Bujar Amidovski, the Bombers topped the Titans 4-3 on December 6. Jason Deskins, an ex-Titan, scored the game-winner.

Saturday, March 13, 2004 vs. Trenton Titans (7:00 p.m.)- The Bombers will salute area fire and police departments as part of their first-ever Guns and Hoses Night, presented by Lion Apparel, Protective Systems Group. During the first intermission, fans can witness the fun of the "Ultimate Hero Tug of War" event. The winner of the competition will receive a trophy. In addition, "Hunks and Ladders" Calendars will be available for sale at the game, with proceeds going to the Miami Valley Burn Foundation. Some of the "Hunks and Ladders" folks will be on hand for autographs. The Bombers will be wrapping up their regular season series with Trenton at this game.

Sunday, March 14, 2004 vs. Toledo Storm (4:00 p.m.)- As part of another Bucky' s Flight Crew Sunday sponsored by Office Depot, 3000 Bombers' Team Posters will be given away at this game against Toledo, which lost to the Bombers 5-4 in a shootout this past Sunday at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. This will also be one of four remaining Big Mac Power Play Pack games. For just $25, fans can receive Two Silver Game Tickets, Two Big Macs, and Two Bombers' Hats. After the contest, fans can enjoy the final Nutter Center post-game skate. Fans can also get autographs of their favorite Bombers featured on the Team Posters after the game on the Nutter Center Upper Concourse.
