Rewind: Saturday, River Rats 5 vs. Lock Monsters 3 The Lock Monsters needed a period to shake off the rust of the All-Star Break, and fell behind to visiting Albany 3-1 after 20 minutes of play. But goals by Jeff Finger and Andrew Ladd knotted the score at 3-3 during the second stanza. Albany regained the lead with Ahren Nittel scoring his second of the game, on the first shift of the third period, and the Rats held on for the win. They added an empty netter to seal the deal.

Sunday, Bruins 4 vs. Lock Monsters 3 Lowell took to the road on Sunday and opened the scoring with a tally by Vince Bellissimo, but for the second straight day fell behind 3-1 after the first period. A late power play for Providence, however, yielded the game winner, as Mark Stuart tallied with the man advantage to spoil the comeback.

Jeff Finger lit the lamp on Saturday and Chris Hajt on Sunday, and both tallies sparked two-goal comebacks for the Monsters. - The Lock Monsters lost the services of G Vitaly Kolesnik to Team Kazakhstan and the Winter Olympics last weekend. The Olympic hockey tournament is scheduled to run through February 25th for the Gold Medal Game.
