
Bulldogs Play Three Games in Three Days

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (19-30-0-2) will play three games in three nights this weekend. Hamilton will start the week on Friday, February 10 when they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans (25-21-1-1) at the Blue Cross Arena (7:35 p.m.). Hamilton will then face the Portland Pirates (29-13-4-3) on Saturday, February 11 at Copps Coliseum (7:00 p.m.). The Bulldogs will wrap up the weekend by battling the San Antonio Rampage (14-28-1-4) on Sunday, February 12 at Copps Coliseum (4:00 p.m.).

Player Notes
- G Yann Danis and C Corey Locke represented Hamilton at the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic, which was played on Wednesday, February 1 at the MTS Centre in Manitoba. Both Bulldogs played for the Canadian AHL All-Star team.
- Danis was named co-winner, along with Manitoba Moose G Wade Flaherty, of the Rbk Hockey Most Valuable Player Award at the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic. Danis and Flaherty each stopped 12 of the 13 shots they faced to help the Canadian AHL All-Star team defeat the Planet USA AHL All-Stars by a score of 9-4.
- C Marc-Antoine Pouliot recorded his team-leading eighth multipoint game of the season on Friday, February 3, collecting one goal and one assist in the Bulldogs 6-3 loss to the Portland Pirates. Pouliot has posted two points in each of his multipoint games for a total of 16 points (five goals, 11 assists).
- RW Duncan Milroy scored his second goal in as many games on Saturday, February 4 when Hamilton defeated the Manchester Monarchs 2-1 in overtime. Milroy's goal came with the Bulldogs on the penalty kill, and he is now tied with Andrei Kostitsyn and Maxim Lapierre for the team lead with two shorthanded goals this season.
- C J.J. Hunter recorded his first point as a Bulldog, earning an assist on Milroy's goal.
- D Danny Syvret picked up his first point in nine games when he assisted on Milroy's goal.
- RW Andrei Kostitsyn had his three-game point streak ended against the Monarchs. Kostitsyn posted five points (two goals, three assists) during the stretch.

- This will be eighth meeting between Hamilton and Rochester this season, and the Bulldogs third visit to the Blue Cross Arena.
- The last time these two teams met on January 28 at Copps Coliseum, Rochester forward Stefan Meyer scored two second period goals to help the Amerks defeated the âDogs by a score of 4-1.

- The last time these two teams met on February 3, Portland RW Joel Perrault scored two first period goals to help the Pirates double up the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3.
- Portland sits in first place in the Atlantic Division with 65 points.
- The Pirates own the AHL's eleventh best power play, which is currently operating at 18.2% (56 goals on 307 opportunities).
- Portland C Ryan Shannon sits second in AHL rookie scoring with 49 points (14 goals, 35 assists) in 40 games this season.

- This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams.
- The only other meeting this season is on Tuesday, February 28 when Hamilton visits San Antonio.

- Rangers RW Marcel Hossa scored his eighth goal of the season as New York defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in overtime. New York RW Jason Ward earned an assist.
- Stars LW Steve Ott recorded an assist as Dallas dropped a 4-3 decision to the St. Louis Blues in a shootout.
- Oilers C Jarret Stoll and LW Raffi Torres each had a goal as Edmonton defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-1. Edmonton D Marc-Andre Bergeron and C Shawn Horcoff each had an assist.
- Mighty Ducks D Francois Beauchemin collected an assist as Anaheim shutout the San Jose Sharks 2-0.
Sunday, February 5 - Canadiens RW Michael Ryder recorded his first career NHL hat trick as Montreal defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 5-0.
