HARTIGAN EXTENDS STREAK: With his goal, Saturday night against Grand Rapids, center Mark Hartigan extended his point streak to 18 games, a new American Hockey League high this season. During that stretch he has tallied 17 goals and 18 assists. This season he has set franchise marks for longest point streak and longest assist streak (12 games), set December 18, 2005 - January 28, 2006. He has two hat tricks on the season. Hartigan continues to climb the Crunch's all-time leaders list, moving into a third place tie with Brad Moran with 13 game-winning goals. He is fourth with 155 points all-time, fourth with 29 power play goals, and fifth with 75 goals. Through 34 games this season, Hartigan has a team high 50 points (21g, 29a). In 14 games with Columbus this season, Hartigan has recorded 1 goal and 12 penalty minutes. A native of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Hartigan was re-signed as a free agent by Columbus August 22, 2005.

LINDSTROM SIGNS NHL PACT: Syracuse left wing Joakim Lindstrom continued his consistent play this weekend. Since November 19 Syracuse (20 games), Lindstrom has been an even or plus in each game, boasting a +14. During those 20 games Lindstrom has also registered 16 points (6g, 10a). A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom was rewarded on February 2, when he signed a NHL contract with Columbus.

THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS:

PEORIA (ST. LOUIS BLUES): Syracuse travels to Peoria on Tuesday, February 7 for the first of two regular season games against the Rivermen. Trent Whitfield leads all Peoria players with 43 points (15g, 28a). Goaltender Reinhard Divis has a 6-6-1 record, a 3.08 goals against average and .890 save percentage. The game is the first-ever meeting between the clubs.

CHICAGO (ATLANTA THRASHERS): Syracuse concludes their five-game road trip in Chicago on Wednesday, February 8 for the second and final regular season game against the Wolves. Syracuse defeated Chicago 5-1 in their previous meeting on November 11 at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Center Geoff Platt (2g, 1a) leads all players in head-to-head scoring with three points. Left wing Karl Stewart (1a), center Jared Ross (1a) and right wing Scott Barney (1a) each have one point. Goaltender Mike Ayers recorded 31 saves in the win. Chicago goaltender Michael Garnett was credited with the loss, recording 25 saves. Lifetime, the Crunch are 2-5-0 against the Wolves.

BINGHAMTON (OTTAWA SENATORS): Syracuse returns home on Friday, February 10 to host Binghamton for the fourth of eight regular season games. Binghamton leads the series 2-1-0 after beating Syracuse 4-1 on December 31 at Broome County Arena. Senators center Charlie Stephens (2g, 3a) leads all players in head-to-head scoring with five points. Center Mark Hartigan (4a) leads the Crunch in head-to-head scoring with four points. Goaltender Mike Ayers has a 1-1-0 record against Binghamton. Binghamton goaltender Billy Thompson has a 1-1-0 record. Lifetime, the Crunch are 9-16-2 against the Senators.

ROCHESTER (BUFFALO SABRES/FLORIDA PANTHERS): On Saturday, February 11 the Crunch hosts Rochester for the sixth of 12 regular season games. Syracuse leads the series 3-2-0 despite losing to the Amerks 5-2 on January 27 at the Blue Cross Arena. Amerks defenseman Nathan Paetsch (1g, 5a) and center Jiri Novotny (2g, 4a) lead all players in head-to-head scoring with six points. Centers Mark Hartigan (1g, 4a) and Geoff Platt (4g, 1a) and defenseman Andy Delmore (5a) lead the Crunch in head-to-head scoring with five points. Goaltender Andrew Penner has appeared in two games for Syracuse with a 2-0-0 record. Rochester goaltender Michael Leighton has posted a 1-3-0 record against Syracuse. Lifetime, the Crunch are 51-64-14 against the Amerks.

Taco Bell Night Set For Friday, February 10: The Syracuse Crunch announced that their Friday, February 10 game against the Binghamton Senators is Taco Bell Night at the Crunch.

Local Taco Bell stores will serve as outlets for vouchers good for discounted tickets to Taco Bell Night at the Crunch, courtesy of Taco Bell.

Saturday, February 11

Quickway Trading Card Night Set For February 11: The Syracuse Crunch, along with Quickway, announced that their Saturday, February 11 game against Rochester will be Quickway Trading Card Night.

The first 1,500 fans in attendance at the Saturday, February 11 game, will receive the first 13 of the twenty-seven 2005- 06 trading card set. The remaining 14-card set will be available, beginning that night, at area Quickway locations.

Masters of Karate to Perform at Crunch's Saturday, February 11 Game: The Syracuse Crunch announced that Masters of Karate students will perform during the first intermission of the Crunch's Saturday, February 11 game against Rochester. Masters of Karate has locations in Cicero, Syracuse and Cazenovia. Call 699-9699 for information.

New York State Lottery Night: The Syracuse Crunch announced that their Saturday, February 11 game against the Rochester Americans will be New York State Lottery Night at the Crunch.

The first 500 fans, 18 and over, in attendance will receive a Lotto coupon good for $1 off a Mega Millions lottery ticket, courtesy of New York State Lottery. NY Lottery will have a table located on the concourse for fans to enter to receive a NY Lottery coupon.

Sunday, February 12

Crunch Players To Appear at DealMaker in Watertown: The Syracuse Crunch announced that defensemen Andy Canzanello and Marc Methot and center Geoff Platt will be at DealMaker Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Watertown on Sunday, February 12.

Canzanello, Methot and Platt will be available from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, February 12 to sign autographs and take pictures. DealMaker Dodge Chrysler Jeep is located at 1068 Arsenal Street, Watertown. Call 782-3325 for directions.

Monday, February 13

Crunch Players To Appear at Bradley's Jewelers: The Syracuse Crunch announced that left wings Joakim Lindstrom and Alexandre Picard and defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen will be appearing at Bradley's Jewelers on Monday, February 13.

Lindstrom, Picard and Tollefsen will be at Bradley's Jewelers on Monday, February 13 from 5-6 p.m. to sign autographs. Bradley's Jewelers is located at 304 First Street in Liverpool. Call 471-4822 for directions.

Crunch Announce Details of Time Warner Cable Hockey Mom of the Year Program: The Syracuse Crunch, along with Time Warner Cable, introduced the Time Warner Cable Hockey Mom of the Year program to salute the hockey moms who dedicate their time and energy to taking their kids to hockey practices through all kinds of weather and at all hours.

During the 2005-06 season, youth hockey kids will be encouraged to nominate their mom as the Time Warner Cable Hockey Mom of the Year. The child must write an essay, up to 250 words, giving reason why their mom is Hockey Mom of the Year. The application can be mailed, emailed or dropped off at the Crunch office.

A panel of judges, including Crunch/Time Warner Cable management and Crunch players will select one (1) winner each month. Each monthly winner will receive four (4) tickets to a Crunch game, participate in a ceremonial face-off, a prize pack from Time Warner Cable and a post game tour of the locker room for up to four (4) people.

All winners will be eligible to win the Grand Prize, which includes a one (1) year membership to Gold's Gym, a spa gift certificate and dinner for two (2) to an area restaurant.

Crunch Announce Details of Advance Auto Parts Fan of the Year Contest: The Syracuse Crunch, along with Advance Auto Parts, introduced the Advance Auto Parts Fan of Year program to salute the loyal hockey fans who dedicate their time and energy following the Crunch.

Beginning November 7 and running through March 20, the Crunch will select one (1) fan as a finalist for the Advance Auto Parts Fan of the Year. Each of the twenty (20) finalists will be featured on the Crunch's official website (www.syracusecrunch.com), receive a "Best PART of the Crunch" t-shirt and a gift certificate to Advance Auto Parts.

A panel of judges, including Crunch/Advance Auto Parts management and Crunch players will select three (3) finalists from the twenty (20) featured fans. Crunch fans will then select the Advance Auto Parts Fan of the Year through in-arena and website voting.

The winner will be announced prior to the final home game of the season during an on-ice presentation.

CRUNCHABLES: Left wing Greg Mauldin recorded his second two-goal game of the season on Friday night. The Crunch improved to 5-0-0-0 when Mauldin records a multiple point game... The 14 shots by the Crunch Friday against Cleveland is a season low... Saturday night is only the third time this season Syracuse has allowed seven goals... Right wing Brandon Sugden set a new high for penalty minutes in a game this season with 29 on February 4.
