Chet Pickard Recalled to Milwaukee, Cyclones Add Forward Neil Musselwhite

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Chet Pickard has been recalled to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. In two other separate transactions, the Cyclones have signed forward Neil Musselwhite and released forward Brad Townsend.

Musselwhite, a rookie, joins the Cyclones after beginning his professional career with the Fort Wayne Komets of the Central Hockey League. In 26 games this year, the Burlington, Ontario native earned 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) and 16 penalty-minutes (PIM). Prior to going pro, he spent a pair of seasons with SUNY-Oswego and posted 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) with 34 PIM in 54 career-games. Last April, Musselwhite won the Fastest Skater competition at the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge in Detroit, Michigan. He was the only Division III men's hockey player to participate and set a new event record time of 14.3 seconds. He also took home second place in the Hardest Shot competition with a shot recorded at 91.8 mph.

Pickard, a Winnipeg, Manitoba native, is headed back to the American Hockey League for the third time this season. So far in 2010-11 with the Admirals, he has posted a 1-4-1 record with a 2.96 goals-against average and an 89.9% save percentage. In 24 games this year with Cincinnati, the Nashville Predators 2008 first-round draft pick has earned an 8-11-3 mark with a 3.11 goals-against average and an 88.5% save percentage. On January 28, he made 28-saves against South Carolina en route to his first shutout of the season.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena TONIGHT when they once again battle the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm.
