Goaltender Matt Dalton Assigned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Matt Dalton has been recalled by the Boston Bruins from the Providence Bruins of the AHL and assigned to Reading. In a separate transaction, Boston also recalled goaltender Michael Hutchinson from Reading and assigned him to the P-Bruins. In another transaction, forward Tyler Murovich was recalled from Reading by the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. The Royals also activated defenseman Alain Goulet from the 7-Day Injured Reserve.
Dalton, a second year pro from Clinton, Ontario, was recalled by Boston from Reading and assigned to Providence on December 29, 2010. Dalton, who earned the P-Bruins Player of the Month Award for January, played in fifteen games for the P-Bruins in this most recent stint in the AHL. Overall this year, Dalton is 7-9-0 with a 3.20 goals against average and a .894 save percentage and two shutouts with Providence. He has played in 18 games with Reading this year and has compiled a record of 11-6-1-0 with a 2.88 gaa and a..912 save % with two shutouts. Hutchinson, a first year pro from Barrie, Ontario, was recalled by Boston from Providence and assigned to Reading on December 29, 2010. He played in 17 games in this stint with the Royals, compiling a record of 9-4-1-3 with a 2.85 gaa and .917 save percentage and one shutout. He has gone 7-6-1 with a 3.11 goals against average and a .898 save percentage in seventeen games with the P-Bruins this season. Murovich, a first year pro from Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, was most recently loaned to Reading from Springfield on January 27, 2011. In two stints with the Royals, he registered ten points (4g-6a) in fourteen games with the Royals. It is believed that Murovich is to be traded from Springfield to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, who are then expected to assign him to the Wheeling Nailers. Murovich is expected to play for the Nailers in tonight's game between Reading and Wheeling. Goulet, a second year pro from Kapuskasing, Ontario, was placed on the injured reserve on January 30, 2011. In thirty-eight games with the Royals, Goulet has fifteen points (4g-11a) and twenty-seven penalty minutes.
The Royals return to action tonight (Friday, February 18, 2011 @ 7:35) when the team travels to Cambria County War Memorial Arena for the second time this season to face the Wheeling Nailers.
