Devils Recall Zajac From Trenton

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Right winger Darcy Zajac has been recalled by the Albany Devils from Trenton (ECHL), while defenseman Harry Young has been reassigned by New Jersey (NHL) to Trenton. The announcement was made by Albany and Trenton General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

Zajac, 24, is making his second stint with the AHL Devils this season. He was previously recalled on Nov. 27 and played 15 games before being returned on loan to Trenton on Jan. 11. Zajac registered his first career AHL point with an assist at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Dec. 26. A few days later, he netted his first goal at Binghamton on Dec. 31. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has appeared in 32 games for Trenton, posting six goals and 17 assists.

Young, 21, has played 38 games for Albany this year and has a goal and three assists. He made his professional debut and scored his first career goal at Adirondack on Oct. 16. Young was a season-high plus-3 at Syracuse on Nov. 19 and has had a plus rating in 10 games. A native of Windsor, Ontario, was drafted 202nd overall by New Jersey in 2008.

Albany welcomes Worcester to the Times Union Center tonight at 7 p.m.
