
Bulldogs earn three of four points on the week

The Hamilton Bulldogs earned three of a possible four points last week including a 2-1 overtime loss to the Chicago Wolves in Hamilton on Friday and a 4-1 win over the Barons in Cleveland on Saturday. The Bulldogs are now tied with the Barons for sixth place in the North Division.
Leading the way offensively for the Bulldogs last week were Andrei Kostitsyn and Duncan Milroy who each earned a goal and an assist. Steve Ott chipped in with two assists.
On Saturday in Cleveland the Bulldogs got goals from rookies Andrei Kostitsyn and Michael Lambert, as well as Chris Higgins and Marc-Andre Thinel on their way to a 4-1 win over the Barons. The win was the first for goalie Dan Ellis in ten starts this season.
On the schedule this week are two games including a home game versus the Cleveland Barons on Friday and a trip to Rochester on Saturday to take on the Americans. Both games will be important for the Bulldogs who will look to climb up in the North Division standings on last week's momentum.

The Hamilton Spectator Stuffed Animal Night: The Hamilton Bulldogs home game on Friday, December 10th at 7:30 p.m. versus the Cleveland Barons is Hamilton Spectator Stuffed Animal Night. When the Bulldogs score their first goal of the game, fans will be encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the ice. All stuffed animals will be donated to local Hamilton charities. Last season 2,067 toys were tossed on the ice and donated to charity.
SpongeBob SquarePants Night: Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants will be on hand for the game on Friday, December 10th versus the Cleveland Barons. The first 1,800 fans to come through the doors will receive a SpongeBob SquarePants watch.

Hamilton earned three out of a possible four points with a road victory over Cleveland on Saturday and an overtime loss to Chicago on Friday ... the points moved Hamilton into a tie for sixth place in the North Division ... with the win on Saturday, the Bulldogs evened their road record at 5-5-2-0 ... Saturday's win also evened their record versus North Division opponents at 8-8-2-0 ... Hamilton has increased its shot lead against opponents in third periods this season, now at 255-207, but also now have out shot opponents in the second period of games this season with 254 shots for and 248 shots against ...
Dan Ellis - recorded his first victory of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win in Cleveland ... improved his save percentage up to the .900 level by allowing only one goal on 29 shots ...
Andrei Kostitsyn - recorded a point in both games last week, assisting on the only goal in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss and scoring a goal in Saturday's win ... his four goals and three assists for seven points are good enough for second in rookie scoring on the team ... was named third star of Saturday's game marking the first time he has been named a star in the AHL
Duncan Milroy - recorded a point in both games last week, scoring the only goal on a high shot on Friday night, then assisting on the team's first goal Saturday
Steve Ott - assisted on two third period goals in Saturday's game ... his eight points tie him for seventh on the team and his 77 penalty minutes are second on the team
Michael Lambert - scored his third goal of the season on Saturday giving him two goals in his past four games ... also is tied for the team lead in +/- with a +2 rating
Corey Locke - recorded an assist on the opening goal on Saturday which got him back into a tie for 18th in rookie scoring in the AHL ... Corey is also tied for the team lead in +/- with a +2 rating
