Blood Drive Dates Announced
December 6, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Worcester IceCats News Release
Worcester, MA- The Worcester IceCats and Peterson Oil Service have announced that they will again team up with the American Red Cross for a six day blood drive beginning on Monday, December 13th. The blood drive will be held at the American Red Cross Blood Donor Center located at 5 Biotech Building, 381 Plantation Street in Worcester.
With a shortage of blood this and every holiday season, the IceCats hope their fans and others can continue to contribute in establishing record amounts of blood donations for the New England Region. Last year, the blood drive saw over 593 donors give of their time and blood to this very worthy cause. The total number of usable life-saving units checked in at 488 pints, an increase of 52 pints from the 2002 campaign.
The IceCats All-Star mascot, Scratch, will help kick off the event on Monday afternoon at 1 PM. By helping build reserves, each donor will be rewarded with a voucher good for a pair of IceCats game tickets and a distinctive "Give Blood, Play Hockey" IceCats/Peterson Oil T-shirt.
