Tonight

The Saskatoon Blades (25-16-1-1) conclude a five-game homestand, welcoming Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats (17-22-1-1) into SaskTel Centre for the second time this season.

The Blades are coming off a gritty 4-1 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes, going two-for-three on the powerplay coupled with a 29-save performance by Nolan Maier.

The team's impressive powerplay unit has been a huge factor in the team's eight wins over the last 10 games, running at a 29.1% clip.

Tonight's contest was originally scheduled for the second weekend of January, however a blush of COVID-19 cases forced the home-and-home series to be postponed.

Following tonight's game, Saskatoon will take a six-day break before venturing into Alberta for a three-in-three weekend, beginning next Friday in Red Deer.

Who to Watch

NHL Draft-eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky earned the game's second star last night, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 4-1 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Port Coquitlam, BC product sits tied with captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere and alternate captain Kyle Crnkovic in team scoring vs. the Pats with five points this season.

Chestermere, AB's Kyle Crnkovic extended his league-lead in points last night, adding an assist to create a two-point cushion over Red Deer's Arshdeep Bains. The speedy winger has 67 points in 43 games this season, which includes 22 points over the last 10 games.

Hard-working forward Jayden Wiens scored the eventual game-winner last night vs. Lethbridge, coming on the powerplay in the second period. The Carrot River, SK product is up to career highs in all scoring categories, having racked up 31 points in 39 games.
