
Pats Look to Snap Road Losing-Streak in Saskatoon

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (17-22-1-1) take on the Saskatoon Blades (25-16-1-1) on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., inside the SaskTel Centre.
The Pats are coming off a 5-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Friday, snapping a six game skid, which was the second longest of the season. Kelton Pyne may have cemented himself in the record books, as the White City, Sask., native stopped all 24 shots that he faced for his first career shutout and first career win in just his second start.
Connor Bedard produced a career high five points (3G-2A) as well as his second career hat-trick, grabbing a point on each goal the Pats scored. Ryker Evans had three points (1G-2A) while Tanner Howe tallied two assists in the victory. Logan Nijhoff snapped his seven game goalless-streak, recording his 15th of the season. The final shots were 33-24 for the Pats, with Regina going 3-for-4 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Saskatoon Blades are coming off a 4-1 win over Lethbridge on home ice on Friday. They have now won back-to-back games after defeating Calgary on Wednesday in Saskatoon, 4-2. The Blades have now won four of their last five games (4-1-0), having outscored their opponent 20-to-14 during that time. The Blades have also won six of their last eight home games coming in.
The Blades have two of the top scorers in the WHL as Kyle Crnkovic leads the league in points (67) , second in assists (38) and is fourth in goals (29) while Tristen Robins tied for eighth in scoring (56).

Kelton Pyne stopped 24 of 24 on Friday vs. CGY in a 5-0 win for his first career shutout in his second ever WHL start and first inside the Brandt Centre...he has now recorded a shutout for three different teams this season (Regina Pat Candians, Melville Millionaires & Regina).
The Pats have seven players on the injured list, as G Drew Sim, G Matthew Kieper, D Adam McNutt, D Jake Johnson, F Zack Stringer, F Jakob Brook and F Zane Rowan are out...G Kelton Pyne and G Spencer Welke have joined the team.
