Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons host the Rochester Red Wings in the third game of a five-game in three-day series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The teams split a doubleheader last night with another twinbill on the schedule for tomorrow afternoon. Buffalo sits 4.5 games back of the IL's lone wild card spot with 27 games (12 home) left to play.

The Bisons are 5-6 so far this season against their closest rival. The teams will play two more tomorrow at Coca-Cola Field and then square off for three games next week at Frontier Field, August 17-19. Both teams are 14-10 in the 2015 Thruway Cup standings.
Randy Wolf
LHP RANDY WOLF has a 3-0 record and a 0.95 ERA in four starts since the All-Star break. The veteran defeated Charlotte last Thursday with 6.2 innings of two-run baseball. At 8-1, Wolf leads the International League with an .889 winning pct. while his 2.49 ERA is 2nd only to teammate Scott Copeland. Wolf is one of only two IL-qualifying pitchers to have allowed two homers this season (IND Chris Volstad).

INF MATT HAGUE picked up his 153rd hit of the year last night -the 7th most in a single season in the Bisons modern era. Hague has 28 more knocks than the next closest batter in the league and his .346 average is 33 points better than anyone else. The veteran continues to also lead the circuit in RBI (80) and on-base pct. (.428).
Ty Kelly
INF TY KELLY hit this Bisons third grand slam of the season in last night's game two. He has now reached base in 14 of his 16 games with the Herd since being claimed off waivers (St. Louis) by the Blue Jays on July 22. The switch-hitter has 17 hits and seven walks for a .288 average and a .358 on-base pct. with the Herd.

INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI has been activated today after his fourth stint with Toronto this season. OF ROEMON FIELDS has been transferred to New Hampshire (AA). The Bisons have been involved in 24 shutouts this season, two more than any IL club. Buffalo is 10-14 in those games...The Herd is a league-best 45-10 (.818) when scoring first in games this season.
Blue Jays Update
The Yankees' lead in the AL East is just a half a game after the Blue Jays (62-52) won their ninth straight last night, 4-2 over Oakland. Drew Hutchison worked seven innings to improve to 11-2 and Chris Colabello had three hits and two doubles. Toronto hosts the A's again tonight at 7:07 p.m.
