Durham Bulls News Release

Norfolk Tides (67-49) vs. Durham Bulls (56-61); 7:05 p.m.

RHP Steve Johnson (4-1, 2.76) vs. LHP Matt Moore (1-2, 3.31)

The Bulls play the third of four straight games against the Norfolk Tides, and the first of two games the DBAP. The Tides have taken the first two games of the home-and-home series, and Durham is 4-8 over its last 12 games, and is just 9-18 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 34 of their last 51 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 11.5-game deficit, tied for their largest division deficit of the season. Norfolk - the Baltimore Orioles' top affiliate - is coming off a 4-5 homestand, after splitting a four-game set with Louisville, getting swept in a three-game series by Indianapolis and sweeping the Bulls. Still, the Tides enter today with the 2nd-best record in the IL behind Indianapolis (69-48), and lead the IL South by 5.0 games over Gwinnett.
