The International League today announced that Jason Dubois has been selected as an outfielder for its post-season All-Star team by the league's managers, coaches, media and club representatives.
Dubois, 27, has spent the entire season with the Bisons and currently leads the team with 21 home runs (7th in IL), 83RBI (4th in IL), 52 extra-base hits and a .493 slugging percentage (6th in the IL). He is also tied with Ben Francisco for the team lead with 30 doubles (T8th in IL) and second with 118 hits, 62 runs scored and 45 walks.
Dubois homered in consecutive games, April 12-13 in Norfolk, and also went deep four times in a three-game span, July 20-22. He launched two out on July 22 against Syracuse, July 30 in Pawtucket and August 5 against Norfolk. On August 8, he capped the largest 9th-inning comeback in Dunn Tire Park history with a three-run, walk-off home run to beat Ottawa, 12-9.
Dubois was also a mid-season All-Star for the International League and singled in two trips in the IL's 6-0 win over the Pacific Coast League. He was named the IL's Batter-of-the-Week, July 17-23, after hitting .417 (10-24) with three doubles, a triple, four home runs and 10RBI in six games.
Dubois enters tonight's game against Ottawa with a season-high 13-game hit streak where he has averaged .354 (17-48).
