
'07 home opener set for Saturday, April 14

SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse SkyChiefs announced today that the 2007 Home Opener is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14th at Alliance Bank Stadium versus the Ottawa Lynx. The SkyChiefs will open the '07 season with an eight-game road-trip to the International League's Southern Division.
The last time the SkyChiefs opened on the road was in 2000 when they opened up with four games at Pawtucket followed by two at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. That season they opened at home on Wednesday April 12th.
The 2007 season will mark the first time that Syracuse has opened at home on a Saturday in the Modern Era (1961-present).
