Fausto Carmona Rejoins Bisons

The Buffalo Bisons announced that pitcher Fausto Carmona has been added to the team's active roster. Carmona was optioned by the Cleveland Indians on Saturday when reliever Edward Mujica was recalled by the Tribe.

Carmona, 22, started the season with Buffalo but has spent most of the year with the Cleveland Indians. He worked mostly as a reliever for the Tribe, posting a 1-8 record and a 5.76ERA in 34 games and three starts (54.2IP, 67H, 36R, 35ER, 20BB, 45K). Prior to his second promotion on May 13, Carmona pitched in four games with the Bisons and went 0-3 with a 4.84ERA (22.1IP, 21H, 12ER).

Mujica, 22, was 3-1 with a 2.48ERA and five saves in 22 appearances with the Herd (32.2IP, 31H, 10R, 9ER, 5BB, 29K). This is his second stint with the Indians this season after going 0-1 with a 2.63ERA in six appearances from June 20-July 24 (13.2IP, 19H, 4R, 4ER, 6K).
