Buffalo Bisons News Release

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that pitchers Matt Miller and Dan Denham have been added to their active roster. Miller joins the team on Major League Rehab while Denham was promoted from Double-A Akron.

The team also announced that infielder Ramon Vazquez was placed on the disabled list.

Miller, 34, pitched in six games in April for the Cleveland Indians before being placed on the disabled list with a strained right elbow. He went 0-0 with a 5.63ERA in eight innings prior to being removed from a game against the Baltimore Orioles on April 19 with the injury. He had surgery the following week and has not seen game action since.

Miller did spend some time with the Herd in each of the past two seasons. He was 0-0 with a 0.87ERA and three saves in nine games with the Bisons in 2005. That season, he struck out 15 in just 10.1 innings leading up to a promotion with Cleveland. In 2004, he was 1-2 with a 1.93ERA in 13 games with Buffalo.

Denham, 23, began the season with Buffalo and went 1-1 with a 7.88ERA in eight games (24.0IP, 40H, 22R, 21ER, 9BB, 14K). He was sent to Akron on May 17 and has gone 6-2 with a 4.88ERA in 23 games with the Aeros (66.1IP, 66H, 37R, 36ER, 39BB, 40K).

Vazquez has hit .242 (24-99) with two home runs and 11RBI in 28 games with the Bisons this season.
