Buffalo Bisons News Release
PAPILLION, NE - The Buffalo Bisons offense was held to three hits on Wednesday afternoon in the team's 3-0 loss to the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park.
Josh Fleming made his Bisons debut, working three and two-third innings in the start. The first of his three strikeouts came in the bottom of the first inning. However, an RBI base hit by Kameron Misner gave Omaha a 1-0 lead and it was all the offense they would need.
Four different relievers came out of the bullpen for Buffalo, including Michael Plassmeyer who worked an inning of scoreless relief. Devereaux Harrison struck out the side in the bottom of the sixth to combine for six strikeouts as a pitching staff in the loss.
Yohendrick Piñango had one of the Bisons three hits in the defeat, it came with two out in the top of the first. He was left stranded at second base after a walk to Riley Tirotta. Charles McAdoo accounted for Buffalo's other two hits. He was left in scoring position after a two-out base hit in the top of the sixth inning. His third extra-base hit of the season was a double in the top of the ninth inning and was left on base as the game concluded.
The Storm Chasers doubled their lead to 2-0 with a solo home run by Michael Massey. His line drive home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth doubled the Bisons deficit. Omaha tacked on one more run with a sacrifice fly by Abraham Toro that scored Brandon Drury one inning later for a 3-0 advantage.
Tanner Andrews made his Bisons debut with one and one-third inning of relief, while Hayden Juenger worked the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Bisons and Omaha have each won a game of the series. The two teams will meet for game three of their six-game set at 7:35 p.m. EDT on Thursday night at Werner Park. Grant Rogers is slated to start for Buffalo. You can listen to all of the action starting at 7:15 p.m. EDT with the 'Voice of the Bisons' Pat Malacaro on The Bet 1520 AM, the Audacy app, and bisons.com.
