Binnington Reassigned to Chicago
January 4, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- Two days removed for being proclaimed the ECHL's CCM Rookie of the Month for December, Kalamazoo Wings goaltender Jordan Binnington has been reassigned by the St. Louis Blues to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves.
By heading to Chicago, Binnington becomes the 12 member of the K-Wings this season to be either reassigned or loaned to an AHL club.
In Binnington's absence, the K-Wings have signed Jordan Neamonitis (NEE-ah-mon-uh-tis) as an emergency goaltender.
The K-Wings will wrap up a three-game home stand tonight, Saturday, January 4th with a 7:30 p.m. encounter versus the Toledo Walleye during Nick Bootland Bobblehead Night.
This will be Kalamazoo's first bobblehead giveaway in 12 years. The first 2,000 fans to come through the main entrances (Doors 1 and 10) of Wings Stadium will receive a limited edition Nick Bootland Bobblehead that features Bootland in half K-Wings jersey and have suit.
Bootland played for the K-Wings for four seasons (2003-2008), was captain for three of those years, and was a member of the team's last championship season in 2005-2006. With 212 victories, Bootland is also the K-Wings all-time leader in coaching victories.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Regular season ticket prices for home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance. Tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans, along with rivalry packs and group ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings Sales office by calling (269) 743-6011.
