Hershey Bears News Release

3/17/2004 10:34:00 PM - Hartford scored the first three goals of the game en route to a 4-2 victory at GIANT Center Wednesday night. Martin Hlinka scored two goals to pace the HERSHEY offense. Phil Sauve played the first two periods, allowing four goals on 22 shots. He was replaced by Peter Budaj, who was a perfect ten for ten in saves in the third period. Hlinka was named the game's number three star for his efforts. Gavin Morgan and Marc Busenburg picked points on assists in the third period on Hlinka's second goal of the game, and third as a BEARS player overall.

Coupled with a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton loss at home to Bridgeport, the BEARS remain just three points behind the third place Penguins with ten games to play. A huge East Division showdown looms Sunday as the Pens come to town for the final time in the regular season. Face-off Sunday afternoon is set for 5:00 p.m.
