MDA Jersey Auction March 27

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals are pleased to announce that Saturday, March 27 is their annual game-worn jersey auction to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Following that evening's game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (New York Islanders) at 7:30 p.m., fans can bid on the players' jerseys with proceeds to benefit the charity.

The Blue and Gold have held a game-worn jersey auction each year since joining the AHL in 2000-01. Last season, the Admirals raised $30,250 for the MDA, their highest total to date. It was also the highest total raised through an MDA jersey auction in 2003 among all AHL and NHL teams.

Additionally, Friday March 26 is Thundersticks night. When the Admirals host the Manchester Monarchs (Los Angeles Kings) at 7:30 p.m., the first 4,000 fans through the doors will receive a pair of Thundersticks, courtesy of Coca-Cola and Gotti's Grinders. Also for that game, Blue and White level tickets maybe purchased until 4:00 p.m. that afternoon as two-for-one through a special TicketMaster Two-fer discount.

Norfolk's next home games are Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21 versus the Houston Aeros (Minnesota Wild). On Saturday, which is Military Appreciation Night, face off is at 7:30 p.m. Sunday's game begins at 4:00 p.m. and features Dog Day Afternoon and Family Fun Packs.
