Jaspers reassigned to Falcons

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that center Jason Jaspers has been reassigned to the club by the Phoenix Coyotes, their National Hockey League affiliate.

Jaspers, 22, skated in three games for the Coyotes after being recalled from the Falcons on an emergency basis on March 10th. The native of Thunder Bay, Ontario did not record any points and collected two penalty minutes (PIM) during his call-up to Phoenix.

Jaspers ranks fourth on the Falcons in scoring with 26 points (11g, 15a) in 45 games with the team this season and has accumulated 48 PIM. The 5'11", 207-pound forward has registered 93 points (40g, 53a) and 160 PIM in 179 games over three seasons with Springfield.

Jaspers will join the Falcons in time for the club's next game versus the Providence Bruins in Rhode Island on Friday. The contest marks the first of four road games for Springfield. The Falcons will return to the Civic Center to face the Portland Pirates on Friday, March 26th.
