Blue Jackets Reassign Scoville to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (March 17, 2004) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defenseman Darrel Scoville to Syracuse.

Scoville, 28, has appeared in 59 games with Syracuse this season, recording 8 goals, 26 assists and 61 penalty minutes. In 332 career AHL games with Saint John and Syracuse, Scoville has registered 43 goals, 114 assists and 437 penalty minutes. Scoville has also appeared in six games with the Blue Jackets this season, registering one assist, his first career NHL point. A native of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Scoville was signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 10, 2001.

The Crunch hosts Manitoba on Friday, March 19 for a 7:30 p.m. game. On Saturday, March 20, Syracuse hosts St. John's.
