
Moose Part of Record-Setting Recall Season for the AHL

Manitoba Moose News Release
The Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced this week both organizations set new records for recalls to the National Hockey League this season.
The Vancouver Canucks have recalled 15 members of the Manitoba Moose this season, with 13 seeing action in 161 games and counting throughout the year. Previously, the Canucks recalled 14 players in 2001-02 and 13 players in 2002-03. On Tuesday, the AHL announced its 386th recall of the season to the NHL which set a new record established last season.

All told, 809 of the 1,005 players (80.5 per cent) to dress for an NHL game this season have been AHL graduates, including 127 who have made their NHL debuts, 76 who have scored their first NHL goal, 85 who have been former Calder Cup champions and 156 who have played in an AHL All-Star game.
