HERSHEY extended its winning streak to a season high five straight games, edging the Binghamton Senators 3-2 Friday night at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Boyd Kane opened the scoring with his 12th goal of the season, a right circle shot that eluded Binghamton goaltender Mike Brodeur. The marker at 4:28 gave HERSHEY a 1-0 lead. Binghamton would rally with a late first period power play goal from Bobby Butler at 16:25 to tie the game. Butler scored his 20th of the season on a rebound off the back wall. The period came to a close with the teams tied at 1-1.

The Senators took a 2-1 lead in the second with a Kaspars Daugavins even strength goal 3:47 into the frame. Dauvagins put home a shot in close to HERSHEY goaltender Braden Holtby for his 10th of the year, giving Binghamton a 2-1 lead. But Holtby and the BEARS would slam the door the rest of the way, while HERSHEY scored single goals in the second and third to earn two points. Brian Willsie took a pass from Patrick McNeill and blew by the Binghamton defense to score his 19th goal of the season. Willsie's tally came at 9:35 of the second to tie the game at two. Late in the third period, Sheldon Souray fed a pass in front to Kyle Greentree, who scored the eventual game-winning goal. Greentree's 17th of the season came with just 2:39 left, and HERSHEY held on for a one-goal victory. The win for Holtby was his 11th of the season in a HERSHEY uniform.
