Abbotsford Heat News Release

HOUSTON TX - The Abbotsford Heat came back from three, one-goal deficits, but finally was turned back by the Houston Aeros 4-3 in the shootout at the Toyota Center in Houston on Friday night.

The Heat had goals by Lance Bouma, Jon Rheault and Aldergrove's Matt Keith to erase Houston leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2. The Heat also erased a Houston lead in the shootout, as Greg Nemisz scored a spectacular shootout goal to even the score once again. But Aeros forward Chad Rau would finish the comeback hopes for the Heat, beating Heat goalie JP Lamoureux in the final round of the shootout to hand the Heat their first loss of the season against the Aeros.

The Heat will fall to 1-2-0-1 on their first of two straight five-game road trips. They will wrap up their first leg of this trip with a game in Austin, TX to take on the Texas Stars Saturday night.
