
Pirates Sign Bushee

PORTLAND, ME - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that they have signed Kyle Bushee to a tryout agreement.
The 25 year-old defenseman was playing for Wheeling in the ECHL where he had three goals and 20 assists for 23 points in 39 games. The 6-foot-1 Ostego, Michigan native has played in 188 career ECHL games collecting 13 goals and 51 assists for 64 points.
The Pirates hit the road for a pair of games this weekend prior to the All-Star break.
Tonight they travel to Providence to face the Bruins at the Dunkin Donuts Center at 7:05 p.m., and will continue on the road to Connecticut to take on the Whale at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Both games can be heard live on 95.5 News Talk WLOB or on-line at www.portlandpirates.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m. prior to the opening faceoff.
The next Pirates home game takes place Saturday, February 5th at 7 p.m. against the Whale. Join the Pirates and the American Heart Association in celebrating Go Red! With the Pirates Night, to benefit the AHA Go Red for Women Campaign. The Pirates will be wearing special red uniforms signifying their support of the AHA and the Go Red for Women Cause. Discounted tickets can be purchased on the Pirates website and portions of ticket sales will go towards the campaign. Saturday night the Pirates will also be welcoming Girl Scouts from across the state of Maine for a fun filled evening for the entire family! Tickets are just $15.00 each and include game admission, a private post-game skating party and a movie on the center-ice video board.
