Basiuk to Utah via Columbia

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors today announced that defenseman Scott Basiuk has been sent to the Columbia Inferno to complete an earlier trade that sent forward Dave Bonk to Bakersfield. Columbia then sent Basiuk to the Utah Grizzlies as part of a deal for forward Jeff Miles.

Basiuk, 25, was the Condors lone representative at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game. The 6-foot-2, 205- pound native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan led the team in assists for much of the season, picking up a career-high 20 assists along with two goals through 41 games. Basiuk picked up three power play assists versus the Las Vegas Wranglers on November 5th and twice tied the team's season high mark with an assist in four consecutive games (November 6th-17th and December 9th-18th).

The Condors also announced the activation of defenseman Tyler Scott from the suspension list. Scott will suit up for the Condors matchup against the San Diego Gulls tomorrow night.

Bakersfield returns home on Wednesday, February 15th against San Diego for Valentine's Day II and High School/College ID Night sponsored by WB- TV 12 and the Big 96.5. High school and college students presenting a valid student ID at the box office that evening will receive lower level admission for just $1 Fans that didn't have a date on Valentine's Day can also receive $1 admission to sit in the special singles section to try and meet their mate.
