Bertoli runner-up for ECHL player of the week

TRENTON, NJ (December 20, 2005) - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Trenton Titans left wing has been named a runner-up for InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week.

The Milton, Ontario native registered a goal and eight assists this weekend and had a hand in ten of the team's eleven goals to lead the Titans to a 2-1-0 record during their three-game southern road trip. On Friday against the South Carolina Stingrays, the seven-year veteran notched four assists in Trenton's 5-0 victory. The following night versus the Augusta Lynx, Bertoli tallied helpers on both goals during regulation and also scored in the shootout to help the Titan pull out the 3-2 win. Bertoli capped off the weekend with a power play goal and two assists in a 4-3 loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators on Sunday.

Bertoli leads the Titans with 14 goals, 36 assists and 50 points, tying him for thirteenth among ECHL scoring leaders. An alumnus of Princeton University, Bertoli is the team's all-time leader in games played (424), goals (145), assists (285) and points (430).

The Titans start a three-game home-stand on Wednesday, February 15 facing the Reading Royals at 7:00pm.
