B-Sens Recall Brodeur, Release Machesney

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today they have recalled goaltender Mike Brodeur from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. The B-Sens have also released goaltender Daren Machesney from a professional try-out contract.

Brodeur, 27, appeared in the Jackal's 6-3 victory over Kalamazoo last night at First Arena in Elmira, stopping 32 of the 35 shots he faced.

Brodeur has appeared in two games with the B-Sens this season, going 1-1-0 with a 3.65 goals-against average.

Machesney, 24, will return to the Jackals. In five games with Elmira this season he has posted a 1-4-0 record, with a 3.82 goals-against average.

Machesney dressed as the B-Sens' back-up goaltender for a pair of games this season, but did not play.

The B-Sens host the Rochester Americans tonight at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
