Amerks Usher In New Year With Dollar Dogs 'N' Drafts

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans, in conjunction with Savor Catering and SMG, announced today the details of what is sure to be a very well-received promotion at select upcoming Amerks games at The Blue Cross Arena. Beginning with the very popular game after Christmas on Saturday, December 26th against Hamilton, and during each Friday night home game in January, fans can take part in the "Dollar Dogs 'N' Drafts" promotion. Fans will be able to purchase Zweigle's Hot Dogs and 14oz. Draft Beers for just $1 each!

"We are proud to team up with Zweigle's, Savor Catering and SMG to offer our fans the opportunity to take part in the 'Dollar Dogs 'N Drafts' promotion," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "For decades, attending a sporting event has been enhanced by the ability for fans to enjoy a hot dog and a beer while watching their favorite team. We are excited that our fans will be able to do so very affordably during these special nights," added Staats.

Jeff Calkins, General Manager for SMG, the Arena Management Company of The Blue Cross Arena, is equally thrilled to offer hockey fans 'Dollar Dogs 'N Drafts'.

"Many of our properties in other areas of the country conduct promotions like these, and we are proud to bring a program of this type to Rochester," said Calkins. We hope that all fans will enjoy Dollar Dogs 'N Drafts, and bring many new faces to our building to watch Amerks hockey."

Along with the Saturday, December 26th tilt against Hamilton at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena, other Dollar Dogs 'N Drafts games include Friday, January 8th vs. Grand Rapids; Friday, January 22nd vs. Hamilton and Friday, January 29th vs. Albany.

Consumers will have the opportunity to purchase Zweigle's Hot Dogs and 14 oz. Draft beers for just one dollar. Locations for the promotion will be the upper atrium bar, in addition to the concession stands located directly behind sections 102 and 128 in The Blue Cross Arena. All sales specific to "Dollar Dogs 'N Drafts" will be conducted between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. only on the select dates with a limit of two 14oz. draft beers and four hot dogs per sales transaction.
