Admirals\' skid reaches four games

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals were outscored 12-3 as they dropped all three games last week, extending their losing streak to four. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton scored four times in the final period to down Norfolk 4-1 on Monday, December 6th. The Lowell Lock Monsters swept two games at Scope over the weekend, defeating the Admirals 3-1 on Friday, December 10th and 5-1 on Saturday, December 11th.

Norfolk hosts Manchester on Wednesday, December 15th then begins a six-game road tilt in Houston on the 16th.

STANDINGS
Norfolk is tied for second in the East with 31 points (14-11-1-2) along with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (12-7-4-3, 31 pts). Philadelphia (19-5-1-0, 39 pts) is in first place. Binghamton is fourth (12-11-3-2, 29 pts), followed by Bridgeport (13-11-0-0, 26 pts), Albany (9-10-4-3, 25 points) and Hershey (11-15-1-0, 23 pts) in last place.

ADMIRALS NOTEBOOK
· Norfolk has been held to one goal in seven of its last 10 games
· Matt Keith's power play goal vs. Lowell on December 11th was just the Admirals' third home power play tally in 54 opportunities this season (5.6)
· Conversely, Norfolk remains first in the AHL in home penalty killing, having allowed just two power play goals in 56 chances (96.4)
· Marty Wilford has assists in three straight games (3a)
· Travis Moen has not picked up a point in 11 games (since November 19 vs. San Antonio)
· Duncan Keith has just one point (1a) in his last 14 appearances
