ALBANY, N.Y. - Dustin Tokarski made 29 saves and Chris Durno scored late in the second period as the Norfolk Admirals (31-17-8-5) defeated the Albany Devils (23-33-1-3), 1-0, on Friday night at the Times Union Center. The Admirals will play the middle game of a three-game road trip tomorrow night against the Hershey Bears at 7:00 p.m.
Norfolk out-shot Albany 39-29 in the game, which was the first of a stretch of three games in three nights on the road.
After a scoreless first period, Norfolk took a 1-0 lead on Durno's sixteenth goal of the season late in the second stanza. Johan Harju sent a pass from behind the net to Durno at the goalmouth. Durno quickly shot the puck past the right leg of Devils goaltender Jeff Frazee at 18:25.
Tokarski picked up his second shutout of the season with 29 saves. Frazee stopped 38 of 39 shots in the defeat for Albany.
Norfolk was 0-6 on the power play. Albany was 0-4.
