Crunch Announce Details of "Herb" Philipson's Central New York High School Hockey All-Star Game

Syracuse, NY (March 4, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the details of the first-ever "Herb" Philipson's Central New York High School Hockey All-Star Game.
The "Herb" Philipson's Central New York High School Hockey All-Star Game will be played at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena on Friday, March 18 at 4 p.m., prior to the Crunch's 7:30 p.m. face-off against the Toronto Marlies. The game will feature a North vs. South format, with 42 players (21 per team) being selected from across the Central New York Region and Section III.
Fans can place their votes online for the "Herb" Philipson's Central New York High School Hockey All-Star Game by clicking here. Online voting for the first 28 players (14 per team) will end at noon on Monday, March 7. The remaining 14 players (seven per team) will be named on Thursday, March 10 and will be selected by a panel of Crunch personnel, "Herb" Philipson's staff and Section III representatives.
Beginning on Friday March 11 through Wednesday, March 16, fans can select the starting lineups for both teams by visiting area "Herb" Philipson's locations and filling out paper ballots. The starting lineups will be announced on Thursday, March 17. Coaches for each team, along with celebrity/honorary coaches, will be named the week of March 7. The Crunch head west to take on the Houston Aeros on Friday March 4 at 8:35 p.m. in the first of a three-game Texas road trip. Syracuse returns home on Friday, March 11 to battle the Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena. Season and single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
