Norfolk Admirals News Release

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals have moved into a first-place tied in the East Division after going 2-1-0-1 in four games last week. On Wednesday at Scope, Troy Brouwer scored with five minutes remaining to break a 1-1 tie and send the Admirals to their seventh straight victory with a 3-1 win over Bridgeport. The Admirals then hit the road for a six-game jaunt away from Scope. On Friday, they traveled to Portland where former Admiral Michael Leighton spoiled an Admirals comeback by stopping all five Norfolk shooters in the shootout, as the Admirals fell 3-2 to the Pirates. Saturday night, Brandon Bochenski had a part in every Admirals goal - including scoring the game-winner in overtime - as Norfolk erased a two-goal deficit to defeat the Hartford Wolf Pack 4-3 in overtime. On Sunday evening, the Admirals' East Division rivals, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, ended the Norfolk stretch of ten games without a regulation loss by defeating the Admirals 6-3 in Pennsylvania.

Norfolk encounters another stretch of three road games in three days this weekend. On Friday, they travel to Providence for a 7:05 tilt against the Bruins. Saturday night sees a 7:05 matchup in Lowell against the Devils. On Sunday, Norfolk visits Manchester for a 4:05 contest. The Admirals return to Scope on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, to face their East Division foes, the Binghamton Senators.
