On Saturday night, the Pirates honored legendary Maine broadcaster Frank Fixaris at the Cumberland County Civic Center. The night included many events that commemorated the life of legendary Maine broadcaster Frank Fixaris who passed away last January.
The Pirates and Cumberland County Civic Center dedicated the press box to Fixaris during the first intermission. Saturday's events marked the beginning of a fundraising effort to establish the Frank Fixaris Memorial Endowment at Saint Joseph's College in Standish, ME. Today Pirates forward Colby Genoway (above) was named the Pirates/WJAB Player of the Week. This is the first time this season Genoway has earned the honor. This season the Morden, Manitoba native is second on the team in points with 11 (2 goals, 9 assists) including three points in his last four games. Genoway will join the Morning Show with Shoe and Joe on WJAB 1440AM/95.5FM on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. Following the interview, fans will have the opportunity to win free Pirates tickets.

This Thursday at 8:10 a.m. on WBLM 102.9 FM two Pirates players will be in studio to talk about the Pirates upcoming home games with "The Captain" and Celeste. The players will also be on WJBQ 97.9 FM with Meredith, Jeff and Lori at 8:30 a.m.
