November 5, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club would like to congratulate forward David Adaszynski on being named to the under-17 roster for Hockey Canada's Capital City Challenge. The four-team tournament will feature three men's under-17 teams and Canada's National Women's Team, November 26 - December 1 at TD Place Arena in Ottawa.
The Capital City Challenge will serve as a one-time event to replace the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, which was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, while providing an opportunity for Canada's National Women's Team to compete as part of its centralization schedule.
The 16-year-old will become the 30th player in franchise history to participate in this kind of tournament joining fellow teammates Sean Tschigerl (2019) and Jackson van de Leest (2017) who played in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
