Brandon, MB - The Brandon Wheat Kings have placed Eric Pearce on CHL waivers.
This leaves the Wheat Kings with three (3) overage players on the roster, the maximum number allowed by the Western Hockey League.
Meanwhile, General Manager Doug Gasper has recalled 2005 born forward Evan Groening from the Virden Oil Capitals.
Groening made his WHL debut last Saturday vs Prince Albert finishing with a +1 rating.
In 14 games in the MJHL this season, the Niverville, MB native has four goals and two assists for six points.
Both Groening and newly acquired forward Landon Roberts are expected to be in the Wheat Kings lineup tonight vs Red Deer.
