
Americans Look for Revenge against Thunderbirds After Close Overtime Loss

The Americans and Thunderbirds will meet tonight at the Toyota Center, the second of three straight head-to-head games between the two division rivals.
The two teams most recently met last Saturday when the Thunderbirds narrowly overcame the Americans in overtime.
Last Game:
The Americans had a strong start last Saturday as Sam Huo opened scoring on the power play 4:14 into the game, his first goal since returning from a long-term injury... Seattle's Jordan Gustafson tied the game later in the first period. Henrik Rybinski gave Seattle the lead 12:52 into the second period with a shorthanded goal, Tri-City's only shorthanded goal against this season... Tri-City's tying goal came 16:29 into the third period as Alex Serraglio made a highlight reel pass to Ethan Ernst who scored from the low slot. The goal was Ernst's first since joining the Americans from the Kelowna Rockets.... The game extended into overtime where Gabe Ludwig scored the game-winning goal for Seattle with a wrist shot from the right circle off an odd-man rush... Talyn Boyko played the full game in net for the Americans, stopping 47 of 50 shots faced.
VS. Seattle
This will be the third game in a 14 game season series between Tri-City and Seattle. The two teams both most recently played each other last Saturday at the Toyota Center. After tonight's game in Kennewick, the two teams will play each other once again tomorrow accesso ShoWare Center in Kent.
Seattle's Jordan Gustafson leads head-to-head scoring with three goals in two games against Tri-City. Six Amerians players have one point against Seattle. Tomas Milic has started in net both games for the Thunderbirds, while Talyn Boyko has started in net both games for the Americans.
