Lambos Leads ICE To 4-1 Win Over Red Deer

Carson Lambos assisted on what proved to be the game winning goal by Connor McClennon late in the second period and then scored his fourth of the season early in the final frame as the Winnipeg ICE opened a five game homestand with a 4-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League play Thursday night.

Mikey Milne on the power play and Chase Bertholet were the other goal scorers as the ICE improved their record to 13-1.

Goaltender Daniel Hauser earned his eighth straight win of the season making 31 saves. The only Rebel to beat him was Blake Stevenson.

Winnipeg finished the night 1/6 on the power play while Red Deer was 0/3.

Chase Coward took the loss in goal stopping 30 of 34 shots.

The two teams play again Sunday afternoon, 2:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
