Giants Acquire 2002-Born Defenceman Evan Toth from Calgary

Vancouver, B.C. - General Manager Barclay Parneta announced today that the Vancouver Giants have acquired 2002-born defenceman Evan Toth (Winnipeg, MB) from the Calgary Hitmen. In return, the Vancouver Giants are sending a sixth-round pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft back to Calgary.

Toth, a left-shot defenceman, checks in at 6'2" and 205 pounds. In 80 career games (all with Calgary), Toth has produced two goals and 14 assists for 16 points. He's added 41 penalty minutes and a +13 rating. So far this season he's appeared in all nine games for Calgary and has recorded one assist.

Evan Toth is expected to join the Giants in time for tomorrow night's home game against the Portland Winterhawks at 7:00 PM.
