Augusta, GA - Barrett Heisten scored twice and added two assists as the Alaska Aces downed the Augusta Lynx 8-3 in front of 3,077 fans at the James Brown Arena on Friday night.
Weston Tardy, Brian Passmore, and Mike Erickson scored power play goals for the Lynx in the loss as they went 3-for-13 on the power play, while Alaska finished 4-for-13 with the man advantage.
With the outcome decided, the final 29 seconds of the game featured 70 minutes in penalties between the two teams as well.
Nathan Marsters absorbed the loss for the Lynx, allowing seven goals on 22 shots. Derek Gustafson made 27 saves to grab the win.
Augusta is back in action tomorrow night at 7:35 pm against the Florida Everblades.
