
Two Titans receive call to AHL as roster gets shuffled

TRENTON, NJ (February 2, 2007) - The Trenton Titans have announced that forward Gregg Johnson has signed a professional tryout agreement with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL), while John Laliberte has signed a PTO with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals.
A 24-year old native of Windsor, CT, Johnson is currently tied for third on the Titans with 31 points (12g, 19a) in 26 games. He has already made three trips to the AHL this season with the Norfolk Admirals, registering a goal and two assists in 11 games, while also appearing in his 100th career AHL contest.
Originally an eighth-round draft pick (256th overall) of the Ottawa Senators in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Johnson is a veteran of three professional seasons spent with the Binghamton Senators (AHL), Pee Dee Pride (ECHL), Trenton and Norfolk.
Laliberte, 23, receives his second call-up to the AHL this year, having recorded an assist in nine appearances with the Worcester Sharks. A rookie out of Saco, ME, Laliberte has notched 27 points (14g, 13a) in 30 games for the Titans and ranks third on the team with 14 goals.
Laliberte was a fourth-round draft pick (#114 overall) of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He participated in training camp with the Colorado Avalanche (NHL) before joining Trenton at the start of the 2006-07 season.
In separate transactions, center Benoit Mondou has been activated off of the seven-day injured reserve list, while defenseman Bryan Miller has been placed on the three-day IR.
Skating in his first pro season, Mondou has nine goals, 15 assists and 20 penalty minutes in 30 games with Trenton. Miller, now a second-year pro, has played 32 games for the Titans since being assigned from the Lowell Devils (AHL) on November 9 and has posted four goals, 15 assists and 14 penalty minutes
