Islanders Recall Dylan Reese

BRIDGEPORT, Conn (Nov. 15, 2010) - The New York Islanders announced today that defenseman Dylan Reese has been recalled from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Reese, 26, is tied for the lead among Sound Tigers defensemen this season with six points (1 goal, 5 assists) in 15 games. The Pittsburgh, PA native made his National Hockey League debut with the Islanders last year in his third professional season, netting four points (two goals, two assists) in 19 games.

After a four year collegiate career at Harvard University, Reese was drafted by the New York Rangers in the seventh round, 209th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. The Islanders acquired the 6-1, 201-pound blue-liner in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 1, 2010.
