Cyclones End Weekend with 20-Round Shootout Victory over Utah

ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones March 8, 2026 - CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Utah Grizzlies, 3-2, in a shootout that featured a 20-round skills competition at Heritage Bank Center. Ken Appleby stopped 18 of 20 shots in the shootout to carry the Cyclones to the extra point. The Cyclones would get on the board first thanks to a finish from Luke Grainger (13). A centering feed from Shawn Kennedy saw Grainger score five-hole on Kyle Keyser to make it 1-0, Cincinnati. Gabriel Bernier registered his first assist of the season with the secondary. ... ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones March 8, 2026 - CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Marlies, today announced that the team has signed forward Adam Kydd out of the University of Calgary. Kydd signs his first professional deal after three seasons at the USports level. Kydd, 23, hails from Regina, Saskatchewan and is coming off a career season with the Dinos where he logged eight goals and 33 assists (41 points) in 28 games played. ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones March 7, 2026 - CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones were blanked by the Utah Grizzlies, 5-0, on Saturday night at Heritage Bank Center. A 32-save shutout from Hunter Miska and a two-goal game from Evan Friesen highlighted the win for Utah. Utah jumped out to an early lead just 5:28 into regulation off a finish from Reed Lebster (29) that was sent in by a Cincinnati defenseman. ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones March 6, 2026 - CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones fell to the Toledo Walleye, 3-2, on Friday night at the Huntington Center. Despite the loss, Cincinnati forward Justin Vaive broke the Cyclones all-time points record with his 292nd career point with the organization.
