K-Wings Acquire Forward Griffin Ness from Grizzlies

December 16, 2025 - KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, announced Tuesday that the team has acquired second-year forward Griffin Ness from the Utah Grizzlies. The Ness acquisition completes the future considerations deal that sent defenseman Luc Salem to Utah on August 19. Ness, 26, is a 6-foot, 185-pound, Wayzata, MN native who currently has 10 points (6g, 9a) in 24 games played for the Grizzlies this season. December 14, 2025 - KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Wings (8-11-2-1), proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, fell to a hungry Fort Wayne Komets (15-6-2-0) team Sunday at Wings Event Center, 4-0. Fort Wayne took the early advantage and never let off the gas, scoring four unanswered goals in Kalamazoo's first shutout loss of the season.
