January 12, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In a rematch of the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation championship match, the Omaha Supernovas came out on top again Sunday night inside Van Andel Arena, sweeping the Grand Rapids Rise in straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
The Supernovas eclipsed the Rise in hitting percentage (.253 to .233), digs (68-59), assists (47-38), and kills (55-39). More importantly, Omaha won the points that mattered in crunch time to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Rise dropped to 0-2 and have now lost six stra... Full Story
January 11, 2025 - HENDERSON, Nev. - The Grand Rapids Rise were dealt a tough hand in their season opener Friday night, falling to the Vegas Thrill in a dramatic reverse sweep by set scores of 20-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 16-14.
Despite looking poised for another season-opening sweep, the Rise experienced a haunting déjà vu as Vegas once again pulled off the improbable. Last season, on March 17, 2024, the Thrill also stunned the Rise with the first-ever Pro Volleyball Federation reverse sweep.

January 7, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Rise has announced three roster moves to finalize their roster ahead of the season opener this Friday, Jan. 10 at the Vegas Thrill.
Setter MacKenzi Vazquez was waived, while libero Valeria León and opposite hitter Kaleigh Nelson were placed on the team's practice squad. Per Pro Volleyball Federation rules, only 14 players can be on the active roster, with two additional spots designated for practice players.
