Raven Colvin Named to Team USA U23 National Team for Pan American Cup

May 20, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Raven Colvin, who played middle blocker for the Grand Rapids Rise during the 2025 season, has been named to the 2025 U.S. Women's U23 National Team training camp roster, as announced by USA Volleyball on Monday. She is one of 18 athletes selected to train from July 18-25 in Anaheim, California, where the final roster will be determined for the NORCECA U23 Pan American Cup, scheduled for July 25 through Aug. 2 in León, Mexico. Bastianelli Earns PVF Middle Blocker of the Year

May 7, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Ali Bastianelli has been named the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation Middle Blocker of the Year, as announced by the League on Wednesday. This award comes shortly after Bastianelli's announcement to retire from professional volleyball on May 2 following a six-year career. In her first season with the Grand Rapids Rise, Bastianelli led the League with 89 total blocks across 103 sets played (0.86 blocks per set). Snyder and Bastianelli Named to PVF All-League Second Team

May 6, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Grand Rapids Rise outside hitter Carli Snyder and middle blocker Ali Bastianelli have been selected to the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation All-League Second Team, as announced by the League on Tuesday. Snyder, a native of Macomb, Michigan, and a seven-year pro, played in all 28 matches this season and appeared in a team-record 111 sets. Rise Second Season Ends with Four-Set Defeat Against Omaha

May 2, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Rise wrapped up their 2025 season Friday night at Van Andel Arena, playing in front of 6,509 fans - the third-largest crowd in franchise history and the second-largest of the season, behind only the home opener back in January. Despite the electric atmosphere, the Rise fell to the Omaha Supernovas in four sets by scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.
