Grand Rapids Rise News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Rise announced Monday the signing of Thailand national team setter Natthanicha Jaisaen (nat-tah-NEE-cha JAI-sen), Midwest middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg, former Michigan State libero Nalani Iosia (nuh-LAW-knee yo-SEE-uh), and German 6-foot-3 outside hitter Iane Henke (YAH-nuh HEN-key).
Additional details on the latest signings are below:
Natthanicha Jaisaen, S
The 5-foot-8 setter from Chainat Province, Thailand, joins the Rise after a decorated 11-season career across Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Jaisaen was most recently named Best Setter of the 2025-26 Thailand League and is representing Thailand in the Volleyball Nations League this summer after previously competing with the national team at the FIVB World Championships in 2022 and 2025.
Internationally, Jaisaen has helped Thailand win the SEA V.League three times (2022, 2024, 2025), along with titles at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games and the Southeast Asian Volleyball Championship U19. She also earned runner-up finishes at the U23 and U17 Asian Championships and was named Best Setter at the U17 competition.
At the club level, Jaisaen has finished in the top three of the Thailand League six times, including a championship in 2021-22 and runner-up finishes in 2020-21, 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2025-26. She is also a two-time Kor Royal Cup winner, earning Best Setter honors in the competition in 2023-24, and has twice reached the AVC Champions League final, in 2020-21 and 2022-23.
"I chose the Rise because I feel it's the perfect place to develop myself and push my limits," Jaisaen said. "I'm really excited to meet my new teammates, work hard together, and compete in the upcoming season."
Kaley Rammelsberg, MB
The 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Westerville, Ohio, joins the Rise for her third professional season after competing in the United States and Finland. Rammelsberg played the 2025 season with the Columbus Fury, recording 99 kills on a .258 hitting percentage, 26 blocks, and 15 aces across 80 sets, after beginning her professional career with LiigaPloki in Finland during the 2023-24 season.
Collegiately, Rammelsberg closed her career at Indiana with a standout graduate season, starting all 31 matches while earning Second Team All-Big Ten and AVCA Northeast All-Region Honorable Mention honors. She posted a .365 hitting percentage, the second-best single-season mark in program history, after starting all 30 matches for the Hoosiers in 2021 and totaling 215 kills, 75 blocks, and a .344 hitting percentage.
Rammelsberg began her college career at High Point, where she was named Big South Freshman of the Year and later earned 2020 Big South First Team All-Conference honors. A native of Ohio, she helped lead Big Walnut High School to an Ohio Division II state runner-up finish in 2017 and earned First Team All-Ohio Capital Conference honors as a junior and senior after receiving Second Team recognition as a sophomore.
"Signing with the Rise felt like the right fit for me because I wanted to be part of a program that challenges me to grow as a player and compete at a high level," Rammelsberg said. "Heading into the 2027 season, I'm most excited to keep improving, build strong connections with my teammates, and compete at a high level every day."
Nalani Iosia, L
The 5-foot-7 libero from Redondo Beach, California, joins the Rise for her second professional season after helping the Orlando Valkyries capture the 2025 league championship. Iosia appeared in 67 sets during her rookie campaign, totaling 135 digs, an average of 2.01 per set, along with 31 assists after being selected by Orlando with the 39th overall pick in the 2024 college draft.
Collegiately, Iosia starred at Michigan State from 2022-24 after beginning her career at Texas. During three seasons with the Spartans, she amassed 1,466 digs, 460 assists and 72 service aces while becoming just the fifth player in program history to serve as a three-time team captain. She earned AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention recognition in 2023 after previously being named to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team at Texas, where she was the starting libero on the Longhorns squad that advanced to the 2020-21 NCAA national championship match.
Volleyball runs deep in Iosia's family, as all five of her siblings played the sport in some capacity, including her older sister, Norene, who was a setter at Hawaii before playing professionally and joining the coaching staff at Texas Tech. Her cousin, Mia Tuaniga, was named the 2026 MLV MVP after starring for the Indy Ignite last season.
"The opportunity to come back and play in Michigan was a no brainer for me," Iosia said. "I loved my time at Michigan State, so coming back to the state where I finished my college career felt like the perfect fit. Heading into the 2027 season, I'm most excited to compete alongside a great group of athletes while continuing to grow my knowledge and experience of the game."
Iane Henke, OH
The 6-foot-3 outside hitter from Ulm, Germany, joins the Rise for her first professional season after last playing for Florida State University in 2025. She was previously drafted by the Orlando Valkyries with the eighth pick in the third round (24th overall) in the 2025 MLV Draft but didn't sign a contract with the franchise.
Henke put together a memorable senior season for the Seminoles, tallying 425 kills while averaging 4.43 kills per set, the third-highest mark in FSU history. She also averaged 5.07 points per set, which ranked second in school history. She earned AVCA All-Region First Team honors and was named to the All-ACC Second Team.
Before arriving at Florida State, Henke spent two seasons at Cal State Los Angeles University (NCAA Division II), where she quickly became one of the program's most decorated players. In 2023, she earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and First Team all-conference honors while helping Cal State LA capture the DII National Championship. She recorded a career-high 21 kills to go with 18 digs in the title match against defending champion West Texas A&M. As a freshman the previous season, Henke became the first player in program history to be named AVCA National Freshman of the Year as Cal State LA reached the DII Final Four. She also competed in beach volleyball, compiling a 17-6 record with partner Ashley Dittmann across two seasons.
Prior to her collegiate career in the United States, Henke trained in Germany as a middle blocker with youth/development teams in Allianz MTV Stuttgart II and BSP MTV Stuttgart.
"As I head into my first professional season, the Rise felt like the perfect place to begin my career," Henke said. "I'm excited to compete at the professional level, continue growing as a player, and become part of the Grand Rapids community. Most of all, I'm ready to get in the gym, compete with my teammates, and help the Rise have a successful 2027 season."
