September 4, 2026 - "We received word that the entity owning the Chicago Sky is being sued by Mr. Enes Kanter Freedom for allegedly violating his First Amendment rights. This lawsuit is meritless and frivolous. Freedom's claim that he was removed from Wintrust Arena due to his speech is false. As his own complaint acknowledges, he wore the shirt in question for multiple hours without any contact with security. Chicago Sky Sign Kate Martin to Developmental Contract

September 2, 2026 - CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky signed guard Kate Martin to a developmental contract, the team announced today. Martin most recently spent most of the 2026 season with the Los Angeles Sparks. She opened this season on a developmental contract before the Sparks converted her to a standard deal in early July. She appeared in 17 games there. Martin was selected with the No. 18 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Las Vegas Aces. Sky Lose to Liberty in Last Game Before FIBA Break, 85-66

August 29, 2026 - The Chicago Sky lost to the New York Liberty 85-66 in Barclays Center on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Sky are now 15-25 overall, 3-13 against the Eastern Conference, 5-15 on the road and 37-41 against the Liberty all time. The Sky were led in scoring by Natasha Cloud 's offensive prowess, who scored 14 points on an efficient 75% clip from the field. Sky Lose to Sun in Final Clash at Mohegan Sun Arena, 87-81

August 25, 2026 - The Chicago Sky lost to the Connecticut Sun 87-81 in Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The Sky are now 15-24 overall, 3-12 against the Eastern Conference, 5-14 on the road and 36-41 against the Sun all time. The Sky fought until the final buzzer, nearly mounting a 20-point comeback courtesy of late-game heroics from Kamilla Cardoso, Azurá Stevens and Courtney Vandersloot.
