The Chicago Sky lost to the Golden State Valkyries, 91-71, at Chase Center on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The Sky are now 12-22 on the season, 10-12 against the Western Conference, 4-13 on the road and 1-4 against the Valkyries all time.

In tonight's matchup, Kamilla Cardoso finished with 20 points, six rebounds and one assist to lead the Sky in scoring. Guard Rachel Banham connected on three three-pointers tonight, recording 11 points, four rebounds and shooting 44.4% mark from the floor.

Natasha Cloud tallied nine points and matched her season high with nine assists. Cloud is averaging 6.3 assists in her last 14 outings. Veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot posted six points, four assists and three rebounds in just 15 minutes of play.

Jacy Sheldon and rookie Aicha Coulibal y each contributed eight points in tonight's contest. Sheldon tied her career high with four steals while nailing three of her six attempts from the floor, including two three-pointers. Coulibaly shot 3 for 3, making her first career three-pointers, and added two steals.

Golden State saw five players in double figures in tonight's matchup. Tiffany Hayes led the Valkyries with 22 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Kaila Charles notched 15 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists. Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton each scored 13 points while Cecilia Zandalasini finished the night with 12 points, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

Other highlights include:

Courtney Vandersloot reached 4,500 career points

Rachel Banham (147) tied Elena Delle Donne for No. 6 on Chicago's all-time three-point field goals list and passed Marina Mabrey (No. 7 - 145)

Banham grabbed her 400th career rebound

In her last four games, Banham is averaging 11 points while shooting 41.7% from three (10 of 24)

Natasha Cloud broke a tie to enter the top 10 of the Sky's all-time single-season assists list with 166 and counting. She is 18 assists from Courtney Vandersloot's 184 assists in the 2013 season

NEXT UP: The Sky wrap up their three-game west coast trip when they face the Seattle Storm on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Climate Pledge Arena. Chicago is 1-1 against the Storm this season and trails the all-time series, 22-30.

The Chicago Sky took the first win of the season series 95-90. Natasha Cloud sealed the win at the free-throw line with 26.5 seconds remaining. Azurá Stevens led the Sky in scoring with 20 points, scoring 18 points in the first half, while Sydney Taylor added 17 points. Seattle was led in that game by rookie Flau'jae Johnson, who finished with 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

In their second meeting of this season earlier this week on Aug. 10, the Sky fell short 97-88 on the road. DiJonai Carrington led the charge off the bench, scoring a career-high 26 points and going a perfect 10 for 10 from the free-throw line in 27 minutes. Kamilla Cardoso posted her 12th double-double of the year with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Courtney Vandersloot added 13 points and three assists.

For the Storm in that Aug. 10 outing, center Dominique Malonga dominated on all ends of the floor, recording her 10th double-double of the season in her 26-point, 10-rebound night. Malonga finished shooting 64.2% from the field, including three three-pointers. Guard Natisha Hiedeman followed with 18 points, nine assists and nailed all 12 of her attempts from the charity stripe. Fourth-year guard Zia Cooke registered 16 points, two rebounds and shot 58.3% from the floor off the bench.

Malonga leads the Storm in scoring, at an impressive 17.4 per game in just her second year in the league. Hiedeman is averaging 15.6 points and 4.8 assists per appearance, while rookie Awa Fam is responsible for 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.
